Well folks, first let me say THANKS to everyone who joined {NeW}EAST! the KP2 MOD server this weekend in celebration of "International Come Back To KP Day!".  It was a resounding success!  Secondly, let me say a bigtime THANKS to Truzenzuzex[BC] for hooking us up with killa hosting here at KP4EVER!  And thirdly, I'd like to welcome aboard Chief _SohCahToa to the KP2 MOD development team :)  For those of you who don't already know, Chief is the lead programmer of  KPL Development  and they have produced some of KP's most popular MODS.  Chief will be working closely with Whoop_Ass and AB|Fredz to bring us a WHOLE NEW KP2 MOD  :)  As I write this, I am getting ALL KINDS of super cool news about ideas for "attack dogs" and other single player props! Stay tuned folks as we hope to bring this puppy to completion A.S.A.P.!

Well folks, I FINALLY have some good news to report!  The KP2 MOD is being rebuilt by Whoop_Ass and AB|Fredz to incorporate the latest available features of the Monkey Mod Source Code.  Here is the "411" from the Whoopster himself:

"The mod is now based on mm1.40 code, the weps are 80% workings, props are
on, shrimp & rats are on, dogs are being a pain in the ass with spawning,
which we expected. The RM custom mode works, BM mode works, gonna use a new
console logo and possibly replace GL as it isnt popular. There are now new
messages when you die, so if u have any funny phrases they can be added, and
also the dogs attack on sight. Hmm think thats most of it"

WaHOOOO!!!  A BigTime thanks to Whoop and Fredz for keeping the faith :) Stay tuned folks, as we may have to introduce a new Client Release.

Well folks, LOTS of news to report this time.  First off, I would like to say THANKS DUDE to the original KP2 CODE MASTER {GT}Freak,  for all he has done to help bring the KP2 MOD project this far along.  Sadly, Freak has  resigned and so it is now up to another KP code master - {GT}TheGhost to help finish things up.  Helping him will be weapon modeller Syl^cs and our favorite KP2 MOD mapper Whoop_ass.  Speaking of Whoop, I just got word today from the map mesiter himself that he will oblige my request and help convert some of WHEELBARROW'S single-player maps to the KP2 MOD Wah HOOO!  If any of you don't already know, Wheelbarrow is the author of some KICK ASS single player missions, and since the KP2 MOD inncorporates many of the single player elements, his maps (with a bit of tweaking from Whoop) will be AWESOME fun in the servers!  Click on his name to visit his site and check out his projects!  BOTH he AND Whoop are hosted by the fine folks over @ KP4EVER :)  And finally, I had a visit in the server the other day from Truzenzuzex[BC], who is apparently in the process of converting his "headshot-r2" to the MOD!  I'm looking forward to all the upcoming maps and I'll definately be making ALL of them available for download as soon as they become available.  Hope to see ya in the server folks and Stay Tuned!

Well folks, it seems the KP2 MOD Weapon Modeller "Syl^cs" is a multi-talented guy as he has just completed his first KP2 MOD MAP :)  Yup, this little beauty is called "Club {GT}" or sydm7_kp2 if you really wanna get technical LOL! It's a sweet little frag fest map that is CHOCK FULL of DOGS and RATS with a few breakables thrown in to boot :)  You can download this latest addition to the {NeW}EAST! KP2 MOD SERVER by clicking right HERE.  Additionally, you should pay a visit the the {NeW}Crew hosted FILES PAGE and grab ALL of the KP2 MOD maps that have been made to date.  Simply unzip to your "C:\ Program Files\Kingpin" folder and you are ALL SET!  Hope to see ya in the server folks and stay tuned!

Well folks, it turns out our KP2 MOD Code Master {GT}Freak has found himself in the "Spotlight" over @ KP4EVER :)  I will reprint for you now what the post says (and I quote):

Well folks, our KP2 MOD Map Master Whoop_ass has gone and "out done" himself again :)  Yup, this time he has created a "KP2 MOD MAPPING TUTORIAL" which explains in great detail how all you  KP ".bsp Artists" out there can create some new fraggin fields for us :)  You may pay a visit to Whoop's website by clicking right HERE and you may access his tutorial by clicking right HERE.  Of course, his site is graciously hosted by the fine folks over @ KP4EVER,  so pay them a visit too LOL!  Thanks a million once again to Whoop and I hope some of you talented mappers out there in KP Land will get crackin on some new KP2 MOD MAPS real soon!  Stay tuned folks!

Well folks, it seems DatDirtyDawg from the {WC} clan went and did my update for me over at KP4EVER so I will reprint what he posted here:

Apparantly pak2 of the of the last KP2 Mod update as previously posted by Mr. Damage was corrupted. Whoop_Ass corected and uploaded this pak and it has now replaced the bad one in our archives. Since this replaced the old, both pak1 and pak2 of the update is included in this zip file, just overwrite when prompted: Kp2 Client Files Update. Also all of the latest maps that have been converted for KP2 have been packaged together to create a KP2 Mod Mappack. These are all the maps to date that are NOT included in the full KP2 Client Side Files. Download the pack from here: Kp2 Map Pack If anyone missed the posts for the full client side KP2 Mod download (you still need to download the UPDATE and the mappack after this) you can grab it from here: Kp2 Full Client Side Files"

Well folks, it seems we're ALL on the same page now LOL!  Yup, {GT}Freak sent me the very latest version of the server side "beta" and now {NeW}EAST! is running "KP2 MOD BETA 1.0C".  This version of the.dll fixes many of the WEAPON "herkey-jerkey" problems for those of you who prefer to play with the default FOV of 90,  and it also resolves the "unloaded weapon at pickup" bug.  Freak admits that there are still some unresolved issues with the Grenade Launcher, but suffice to say that this latest "beta" is a MAJOR IMPROVEMENT :)  Thanks a million bud!!!  Also, {GT}Syl^cs recently sent along an additional "PAK1" file that fixes many of the missing weapon and ammo textures.  While the flame-thrower is STILL red on the ground, MOST of the missing texture bugs ARE fixed by this little patch which you may download by clicking right HERE.  Now keep in mind that this is NOT a replacement for the original KP2 MOD CLIENT PAK, but rather an additional item that you simply put inside your KP2 folder along with the rest of the files.  Also, I have tweaked the weapon.ini file again.  Due to player feedback, I have slightly lowered the SHOTGUN damage level and upped the HMG damage level a bit.  Hopefully all the weapons will now have very similar damage rates to the Xatrix defaults, but we'll just have to continue testing it to see for sure.  Post any feedback regarding this or any other aspect of the MOD in either FORUM #1 or FORUM #2. And finally, I want to remind all readers and KP2 MOD fans alike that CHEATS have been disabled and the server boots those of you who have recently tried to type in "impulse" codes, so PLEASE don't do it and try to enjoy this game CHEAT-FREE ok?  Stay tuned folks!

Well folks, the mapping moment we've ALL been waiting for has arrived!  Yuppers, the map master Whoop_ass  has completed  the challenge and successfully converted ALL FIVE XATRIX DEATHMATCH MAPS to the KP2 MOD!!!!!  His latest installment is appropriately called "kpdm5_kp2d_beta1" and it can be downloaded right HERE. Of course, if you still need the other 4 to complete your set, then pay a visit to the {NeW}Crew's FILES page by clicking right HERE and download what you need from our super fast server :)  Also, I'm sure it won't be too long before Mr D or someone else will post all about it on the front page of KP4EVER too,  and you can always count on them to host whatever KP files are released :)  All five maps are in current rotation on {NeW}EAST! the KP2 MOD server. Thanks a million to Whoop_ass for completing this long awaited mission!!!   In other news, I'd like to remind folks that until I hear otherwise from {GT}Freak and {GT}Syl^cs, this MOD is still "beta", but you can be sure that every effort is being made to bring this thing to final public release soon ok?  I hope to see all of you KP2 MOD fans in the SERVERS this weekend and stay tuned!

Well folks, 4 down and 1 to go!!!!  Yup, Whoop_ass has gone and done it again :)  This time he has used his considerable talent to convert Xatrix's KPDM2 for the mod and it is called "kpdm2_kp2d_beta1".  Lots of new secret areas, lots of breakables, and, of course, RATS!!!!! hehehe.  You can download this beauty by clicking right HERE.  Also, the {NeW}Eastern Warriors are proud to make ALL of the exisiting KP2 MOD MAPS available for super fast download.  To access the {NeW}Crew's FILES page and grab what ya need, simply click HERE.  Whoop's & Mr. Damage's maps are currently in rotation on {NeW}EAST! Well folks, WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?!?!?!?!?!  Hehehehe, it turns out that I was running an older version of Whoop_ass's KPDM3 conversion,  so I suppose if you have played the MOD on {NeW}EAST!,  then you have too.  Therefore, I am most pleased to report the arrival of "kpdm3_kp2d_beta1" which can be downloaded right HERE and enjoyed NOW on the server!  It features WILD GUARD DOGS who will tear your ass to shreds if you invade their turf LOL!  Download this masterpice and get yer ass in the server to frag it up KP2 MOD style!!!  Way Ta Go Whoop!  Stay tuned folks!

Well folks, it appears that there are now TWO KP2 MOD servers up and running now :)  Use your favorite server browser tool and look for the "KP2" in the "gametype" field. Of course, the project is not yet ready for final release, but trust me when I say that we are getting closer by the day!  In fact, the server side .dll is quite stable now,  so the "crash" problems have largely disappeared.  The weapons are almost complete now as well and as soon as they are done I will post about it right here and point yas to the available download links.  In the meantime, I would like to point out something that I would have thought was quite obvious by now,  but apparently is not,  so here goes---->  ALL WEAPONS ARE FAIR GAME!  INCLUDING THE DREAD FLAMETHROWER !  Earlier this evening, a player was insulted by another player who typed out a disparaging remark about his use of the flamethrower weapon in the game.  The "insulted" player mistakenly thought it was me ({NeW}Fnlou) and so he proceeded to insult me to the point of having to be banned.  This is a DAMN SHAME and NOT something I enjoy having to do,  so let me make this perfectly clear to all readers and fans of the KP2 MOD - Use of the flamethrower is OK, but calling me an ASSHOLE over and over again on my own fucking server is NOT OK.  OK?  I hope this clears this issue up and that you continue to enjoy the new MOD as it nears final release.  Stay tuned folks!

Well folks, We're still "BETA" hehehe.  Yeah, these things take time y'all, but I DO have some good news for ya :)  First off, I removed all of TanyaCheex's maps from rotation on the current test server and for some odd reason the CRASHES stopped.....Hmmmmmmm.  Weird huh?  So far, no explanation for why that is,  but rest assured that more than one pair of eyes is looking into it.  Moving right along, I am most pleased to report that MR DAMAGE has completed work on his beta KP2 MOD MAP and has just released "kp2_dm_thehood".  You can read all about the "fixes" on the front page of KP4EVER and you can also download this .bsp there or by clicking right HERE.  Simply unzip to your normal KP folder.  It is currently in rotation on the KP2 MOD Server :) Also comes word from Whoop_ass that he is busy working on converting the remaining Xatrix originals to the MOD.  All that is left is KPDM2 and KPDM5.  Once he has those done, he will be the winner of the $100 CASH PRIZE that I have offered up to the mapping community!  Way ta go Whoop!  And finally, I got word from {GT}Freak that he is still working on completing the server side final,  and once he is done and {GT}Syl^cs finishes the weapons, we will be prepared to unleash this puppy to all you server admins out there :)  Stay tuned folks!

Well folks, all I can say is WAH HOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!  A bigtime thanks is due the KP2 MOD Code Master {GT}FREAK!!!!!!!  He has gone and made a few tweaks to the current server side .dll which has not only DISABLED the CHEATS :)...but has enabled the WEATHER EFFECTS as well !!!!!!!  YES!!!!!!  Of course, it took a bit of help from our mapper friend Whoop_ass to determine that {GT}Syl^cs has neglected to give me the "weapon.ini" in the first place ROTF!!!  But anyway folks, nothing new for you to download on the client side end of things (thank goodness huh?) just ALL NEW FUN for you to see in the SERVER!!!  Speaking of all all NeW fun, I am also MOST PLEASED to report than Whoop_ass has gone and done YET ANOTHER masterful conversion for us :)  Indeed, the man has taken KPDM4 and converted it to "kpdm4_kp2d_beta" which you can download by clicking right HERE.  It is currently in rotation on the KP2 MOD TEST server {NeW}EAST!,  so grab it and come try it out the rat-filled-fun for yourself :)

Well folks, Whoop_ass has gone and made us another MASTERPIECE :)  Yup, this time he has converted KPDM3 for the KP2 MOD and let me tell ya, it is CHOCK FULL of breakables :)  The name of this conversion is "kpdm3_kp2d_beta" and it can be downloaded by clicking right HERE.  It is currently in rotation on the KP2 MOD SERVER and you should be sure and check out the NeW Areas of fraggin he has opened up!!!  Excellent work my friend!!! Moving right along, I think it's important that I point out something to all readers that I had previously thought was clearly understood - THIS MOD IS "BETA".  For those that don't already know, that means that it is NOT A FINISHED PRODUCT.  In fact, the current .dll was merely released to me, {NeW}Fnlou, for "testing" purposes to notice and correct any flaws in the weapon modelling.     It is NOT indicative of the final release and MANY peculiar aspects have already been noticed and are being addressed.  Chief among these is the issue of CHEATS.  YES FOLKS. we are fully aware that the cheating assholes have discovered and exploited this fact and we are working to CORRECT the situation.  In the meantime, PLEASE report any blatant cheaters to me at fnlou@kingpinfoever.com so that I may BAN THEM FOREVER from the current test server.  If they are willing to cheat now, then certainly they have no place enjoying the finished product along with the rest of us NON-CHEATERS agreed? Some other "bugs" that we are aware of are the weapon skins and the lack of visible weather effects.  These too are being worked out.  In the meantime, PLEASE show your appreciation of other people's hard work on behalf of YOU the KP FANATIC by enjoying the new features CHEAT FREE with the understanding that YOUR LOVE OF THE GAME will help see this project to completion ok? Thanks!

Well folks, "Da Fly" over at "JoltUK" has gone and posted a KILLA review of the KP2 MOD beta :)  You can see and read his fine news post by clicking right HERE.  Of course, the KP2 MOD project is still "beta" and so the article was quite adept at pointing out some of the little "things" the MOD TEAM is hopefully addressing as we speak  I know Syl^cs is already working on some of the weapon issues, and I hope {GT}Freak can figure out the missing weather effects as well.  Hopefully it won't be long folks! Anyway, a bigtime "THANKS DUDE" to "DA FLY" and I hope to see all of you KP fanatics in the SERVER real soon!!! :)

Well folks, It seems the server was missing a bunch of textures for MrDamage's "kp2_dmthehood_beta" map so I have re-installed it and all files should now be complete.  Of course, it is ALWAYS best to grab the maps from the "maps link" provided below or from the {NeW}Crew's "NeWFiles" page so as not to drag out the server :) Moving right along, we had an appearance of "DaFly" from "Jolt.co.uk" in the KP2 MOD server this afternoon!  Turns out he enjoys the new weapons and breakables although he had hoped to see some weather effects as well.  All I can say bud is  STAY TUNED!!!  Hopefully {GT}Freak and {GT}Syl^cs are working on it :) And finally comes the suggestion from Whoop_ass that I lower the timelimit on the server to 15 minutes so that more of the maps rotate faster.  That sounded like a fine idea to me so it is now done!   Enjoy and see ya in the server!

Well folks, Whoop_Ass has gone and IMPROVED his conversion of KPDM1 to make it even more RAT FILLED and BREAKABLE :)  You won't believe what an improvement it is over Xatrix's original :)  You can download this map by clicking right HERE and unziping the file to your normal maps folder (Typically - C:\Program Files\Kingpin\Main\Maps)  Once you have it, be sure and press F1 at the end of the round and vote for "kpdm1_kp2d_beta1"  P.S. - I have removed the first beta conversion from the map rotation on the server so as not to confuse anyone LOL!  We also have word from Whoop that he is busy working on a conversion of KPDM3!!  WAH HOOO!  My personal favorite of the Xatrix defaults :)  As soon as he has a "beta",  I will let yas know right here and give a download link as well! BTW folks, if you are in the KP2 MOD SERVER ({NeW}EAST! IP# 68.15.130.28) with some other players and they appear to NOT have the CLIENT SIDE FILES, then PLEASE point them to this website so that they can get what they need ok?  Thanks and see yas in the server!

Well folks, First off I owe a BIGTIME thanks to MrDamage over at KP4EVER for making some very helpful suggestions in regards to this little webby :)  He pointed out a few minor discrepancies in the F.A.Q. which have now been addressed/corrected AND he provided some additional links to MAPS and SCREENIES!!  Thanks bud! I also got an email from "DaFly" over @ JOLTUK who intends on checking out the BETA and perhaps writing up a little progress report :) Moving right along, I noticed this post on the KP2MOD Forum by {GT}Syl^cs (the Weapon Modeller) and I thought it might be well advised to reprint it for yas here (and I quote):

Mr D. I have redone the bats texture, as i agree it looked a little stretched  but that weapon went from a bat to a knife, back to a bat so Im not planning on changing it again lol.
Please note that this beta test was designed as a test for my weapons to find missing textures and things and NOT a test of the code. The dll that is running the server is a VERY early beta that was designed ONLY to test the new weapons and some of the new code, do not take the current features problems into thought as they will not be there in the final.
As concerning the monkey mod code integration it is completely up to date to the latest release of mm. (or will be on final dll release)

YES!!!! :)  And finally, I received a BETA version (conversion) of KPDM1 today from Whoop_Ass.  Thanks bud!!! All I can say is WOW!  Professionally done and the breakables add NeW Areas of fraggin fun :) {NeW}EAST! server (IP #68.15.130.28 ) is currently running it so press F1 at the end of the round and vote for KPDM1_KP2d_beta!

Well folks, the MOD is currently being tested on {NeW}EAST! IP #68.15.130.28  This is the ONLY server running the MOD at this time as it is still "BETA" and not ready for public release.  Of course, you need the client files to experience the the MOD,  so click away on this site to find what you need!  To read an article published earlier this year on JOLT.CO.UK regarding this project click HERE.     So far, over 100 people have downloaded the KP2 MOD "beta" client files from KP4EVER alone!  The server has been ROCKIN and shows no sign of STOPPIN hehehe.  Thanks for dropping by and come back often for all yer KP2 MOD needs :)
